Welcome to St John's in the heart of Peterborough

HOPE in the City
For the first time ever, a group of city centre churches have put together a Christian Festival weekend in Peterborough, Friday 26th – Sunday 28th September. Events will take place in venues ranging from the Town Hall to the Cathedral and the Festival opens with a special event at Park Road Baptist Church on Friday evening. Saturday sees the Cathedral’s Open Day and in the afternoon there will be a great variety of stalls and entertainment on the green in front of the cathedral, organised by the group of churches who are working together on this. The Festival ends on Sunday evening with Songs of Praise introduced by Pam Rhodes at Westgate Church.
See St John's Diary for details and times of all Hope in the City Events. |

Our vision is to be...
-
A people called by God to proclaim Jesus as Lord in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our hope is to know Jesus and make him known.
-
A place where all may gather to meet with God and each other, in order to be refreshed, encouraged and challenged by the Word of God, the fellowship of His people and the sharing of ministry.
-
A congregation that recognises God's power transforming lives and helping others. Everyone is welcome regardless of personal circumstances.
-
Aiming for the best in all that we do, to the glory of God, including our public worship, service to others, pastoral care, administration, music and the arts.

Vehicular Access to and Parking at St John's
Parking at St John’s at all times is restricted to the use of only the lay-by area outside the church, and only to vehicles displaying a Peterborough City Council issued permit. Vehicular access is permitted to enable people to be dropped off outside St John's, but they must then continue on and park elsewhere. People attending Sunday Services have the use of alternative parking. Please speak to the Churchwardens or use the 'Contact Us' link for details.
